Sometimes the smallest upgrades make the biggest difference. This bathroom sink had a brand-new brushed gold faucet going in - clean handles, solid construction, and a matching gold drain stopper that ties the whole look together. The kind of fixture that makes a vanity feel intentional rather than just functional.

But here's the thing - a nice faucet doesn't mean much if the drain setup underneath is a mess. The old tailpiece and drain hardware was corroded, crusty, and overdue for replacement. Mineral buildup had worked its way into every joint. Left alone, that's the kind of thing that leads to slow drips, moisture damage under the cabinet, and eventually a bigger repair bill.

We pulled all of it out and replaced the drain assembly with a fresh tailpiece and a new p-trap. The p-trap is the curved section of pipe under the sink - it holds a small amount of water at all times, which blocks sewer gases from coming back up through the drain. It's a small piece of the puzzle, but it's doing real work every single day.

The finished setup is solid from top to bottom. New faucet, matching drain hardware above, and clean tight connections below. No leaks, no compromises. That's what a proper faucet and fixture installation looks like when it's done right - not just swapping out what's visible, but making sure everything behind the scenes is in good shape too.
